This session will present a number of scenarios requiring integration of applications and data on VME, NT, and Unix. These scenarios are all based onr eal cases. For each scenario, Richard will describe how integration can be achieved in a way which matches business needs. Technologies considered will include VME DTS, VME OpenTP, BEA Tuxedo, Microsoft Transaction Server, Corba, and message queuing. The scenarios will include:* Integrating new applications on NT or Unix with TPMS applications, for example to support customer-centric systems* Automating simple processes which invoke TPMS applications
* Providing a PC GUI or web based front end to an existing TPMS application
* Providing for bi-directional exchanges between CICS and TPMS by using Tuxedo
* Efficient extraction of database updates from an IDMSX database to feed a separate database (eg a data warehouse)
