AXiS 99 Conference

Synopsis

Enterprise Application Integration

Steve Thompson, Technical Design Authority, ICL

With a promise that there will be no smoke and mirrors, this session is a practical look at how enterprises in every business segment can respond to the challenge of increased competition by introducing the flexibility of the latest Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solutions.

Through a combination of presentation material and customer examples the session will evaluate the merits of Point-to-Point and Hub-and-Spoke architectures and discuss the exploitation of XML and queuing technologies, such as MSMQ.

The reality of integrating legacy systems, ERP applications, CRM and Supply Chain solutions with new developments and electronic commerce is suddenly not so far away.
